HiThrive’s Manager Reporting & Notifications functionality provides managers with real-time insights into their team’s recognition activity, making it easier to encourage engagement amongst your team, ensure that all of your team members are being recognized, and track upcoming team celebrations. 

Enabling Manager Reporting

Manager Reporting is automatically enabled if the requisite information is available. To create your teams / hierarchy, please complete the employee / manager mappings as described below.

Automatic Team Creation

To ensure managers automatically see their direct reports, your HRIS integration must include the following permissions and field mappings:

  • Employee ID and Manager ID mappings
  • These may also be labeled as Reports To Email or Reports To ID in your HR system.
  • See the table below for fields specific to your HRIS platform.

*If no HRIS integration is being used, complete a manual upload that includes: email address, employee ID, and Manager ID for each team member. An upload template is available. Upload your information here by selecting 'Import users manually' or you may provide the information to to help@hithrive.com and a member of the HiThrive team can do so on your behalf.

Enabling Manager Notifications

Manager Notifications include automated notifications to a manager whenever a team member receives recognition. To activate it:

  1. Navigate to Admin → Settings at app.hithrive.com/admin/settings.
  2. Locate the Team Notification Preferences.
  3. Find Direct report Received a Shoutout
  4. Toggle it ON to for each desired notification type.

 


What Managers Can See

Once Manager Reporting is enabled, managers can access the Your Team dashboard at app.hithrive.com/manager to track team recognition trends.

Key Dashboard Information

  • Team Members: View the number of direct reports.
  • Shoutouts Sent & Received: Track recognition activity.
  • Team Recognized Percentage: Monitor overall team engagement to ensure that your team is being recognized.
  • Upcoming Celebrations: See team birthdays, work anniversaries, and other key milestones.
  • Add Personalized Notes to Celebrations: Add a personalized note to any upcoming celebration.
  • Overdue for Recognition: Identify employees who haven’t been recognized recently and send a Shoutout with a single click.
  • Top Senders & Recipients: Top contributors to company culture.
  • Top Values Recognized: Understand which company values are being embodied most.

How to Use Manager Reporting

  1. Log into HiThrive and go to the Your Team tab.
  2. Review your dashboard for team insights and upcoming celebrations.
  3. Encourage engagement by sending shoutouts to team members who haven't been recognized recently.
  4. Personalize celebrations with a note that is attached to any upcoming celebration (these notes are only visible to the recipient).
  5. Analyze trends to identify team engagement, culture health, and reinforce performance.

Q: What if my teams aren’t appearing correctly?
A: Ensure your HRIS integration includes Manager Email or Manager ID mappings. 

Q: Can managers access reporting across departments?
A: No, managers only see insights for their direct reports as defined in your HRIS.

Q: How often does the data update?
A: Recognition activity updates in real-time, while HRIS data syncs based on your integration settings.
