How to Create a Challenge in HiThrive

Step 1: Navigate to the Challenges Section

  1. Log in to your HiThrive Admin Dashboard.

  2. Click on Challenges in the navigation menu.

Step 2: Create a New Challenge

  1. Click the “+ Create Challenge” button.

  2. Enter the Challenge Name (e.g., "Wellness Step Challenge" or "Innovation Sprint").

  3. Add a Challenge Description to provide visible details on participation and goals.

  4. Select the end date for the challenge.

Step 3: Define Participation Rules

  1. Choose who can participate: all employees or specific segments.

  2. Set completion requirements (e.g., task submissions, milestones, or activity tracking).

Step 4: Set Up Rewards & Incentives

  1. Assign points or gifts for completion.

  2. Note: Once a challenge is submitted, the 'Challenge Moderators' receive a notification to Approve. Upon approval, the completion incentive gift is automatically sent.

Step 5: Launch & Monitor the Challenge

  1. Click “Publish Challenge” to make it live.

  2. Use the dashboard to track participation, see who is excelling, and adjust settings if needed.

Step 6: Share Challenge to Microsoft Teams or Slack

  1. Announce the challenge through Slack or Microsoft Teams by hovering over the live challenge on the Challenges dashboard and selecting the 'share challenge' icon.
  2. You can customize the post and select which channel(s) you would like for it to post to.

Step 7: Select Challenge Moderators

  1. Be sure to select a user(s) to moderate challenges. This is a specific user role and can be designated on any user's profile
