HiThrive now gives administrators more control over recognition visibility and accuracy. Admins can delete errant or inappropriate posts directly within the platform—ensuring your recognition feed stays professional, inclusive, and aligned with your organization’s standards.

🧭 What Can Be Deleted

Admins can now delete the following post types:

  • Shoutouts

  • Spot Celebrations

  • Celebration announcements (e.g. birthdays, anniversaries, new hires)

This functionality is available in the HiThrive Web App and can be performed by any user with administrative privileges.

🧹 What Happens When a Post Is Deleted

Deleting a post triggers the following:

  • The post is removed from the HiThrive feed

  • 🔄 The message is retracted from Slack or Microsoft Teams (if posted publicly)

  • 🧮 Any associated points are retracted

  • 📊 Admin-level reporting is updated to reflect the deletion

This ensures that any accidental or inappropriate content does not remain active in any channel.

🖱️ How to Delete a Post

  1. Log in to the HiThrive Web App

  2. Locate the shoutout or celebration post you wish to delete

  3. Click the three-dot menu (•••) on the upper right of the post

  4. Select Delete and confirm your choice

Once deleted, the action is final and cannot be undone.

✅ Best Practices

  • Only delete posts that contain incorrect information, inappropriate content, or were created in error

  • If a user requests that a post be removed, confirm with the sender before proceeding

  • Track deletions in your admin notes or audit trail for transparency
