Getting Started
How do I access HiThrive? You do not need a username or password. You will receive a welcome email with a magic link to activate your account. If your company uses SSO (Single Sign-On), you can also log in directly through your company portal or Microsoft Teams / Slack app.
I never received my welcome email. What should I do? Check your spam or junk folder first. If it is not there, reach out to your HR or People team and they can resend your invitation.
Can I access HiThrive on my phone? Yes. HiThrive is accessible via web browser on any device, as well as natively inside Slack and Microsoft Teams.
Points and Rewards
What are points and how do I earn them? Points are awarded when you are recognized by a colleague or manager, or when you reach a milestone like a work anniversary or birthday (depending on your company's program). Your points balance is visible when you log in to the platform.
How do I redeem my points? Log in to the platform and visit the Rewards Marketplace. You can browse and select from gift cards, Amazon products, premium brands, charitable donations, cash equivalents, and more. Simply add items to your cart and complete checkout.
Can I use my points and a credit card together? Yes. At checkout, you can apply a portion of your points and cover the remaining balance with a personal credit card. To do this, reduce the number of points applied so that a remaining balance appears, then enter your card details.
How long does it take to receive a reward? Digital rewards such as gift cards are typically delivered within minutes to hours. Physical items such as branded merchandise can take 21 to 30 days due to the custom production process.
Do my points expire? This depends on your company's program settings. Check with your HR or People team to confirm whether points reset at a certain cadence.
A gift card or reward I wanted is not available. Can it be added? The rewards catalog varies by country and is updated regularly. If there is something specific you would like to see added, let your HR team know and they can pass the request along.
Celebrations and Recognition
Why did I not receive a birthday or anniversary celebration? Celebrations are triggered based on the information in your company's HR system. If your date of birth or hire date is missing or incorrect, the celebration may not fire. Reach out to your HR team to verify your information is up to date.
I received a recognition but I cannot see it in the platform. What happened? If a colleague sent you a private recognition, it will not appear in the public feed but should appear in your personal notifications and inbox. If you are still not seeing it, contact your HR team.
Can I opt out of public celebrations? Yes. In your account settings, you can select "Only celebrate privately" if you would like to receive your recognition and any associated reward without a public post. Selecting "Skip entirely" opts you out of the celebration altogether, including any rewards.
Someone sent me a shoutout but I did not get a notification. What should I do? Check your notification settings in the platform and make sure HiThrive notifications are enabled in Slack or Teams. If the issue persists, let your HR team know.
Leaving the Company
I am leaving the company. Can I still redeem my points? Your HR team can grant you temporary access to the platform after your departure using your personal email address. This allows you to log in and redeem any remaining points for a defined period of time. Check with your HR team to confirm whether this has been set up for you.
