Customizing your celebration email template

Celebration emails can be branded to match your company's look. Here's what you can customize and what to send us to get it set up.

Last updated on 28 Jul, 2026

When a team member receives a celebration, the notification email is their first touchpoint. HiThrive lets you customize several elements of that email so it arrives looking and sounding like your company.

What you can customize

Banner image

A custom banner sits at the top of the email, above the celebration card. This is the most visible branding element and typically features your logo, brand illustration, or campaign artwork.

Celebration card

The card shown in the body of the email is pulled automatically from the design assigned to that celebration type. If you have separate designs for birthdays, work anniversaries, and new hire welcomes, each email will display the matching card without any additional setup.

💡 Card designs are configured separately. See our guide on creating custom card designs for specifications and file requirements.

Button color

The call to action button can be set to any color in your brand palette. Most companies match this to their primary brand color so it stands out against the rest of the email.

Copy

The headline and supporting text in the email body can be rewritten to match your voice. This includes the message that introduces the celebration and any framing you want to add about your recognition program.

What to send us

To set up or update your email template, send the following to help@hithrive.com:

Element

What we need

Banner image

High resolution file (PNG or JPG)

Button color

Hex code

Copy

Your headline and body text

Card designs do not need to be sent with this request. They are pulled from whatever design is already assigned to each celebration type.

Things to keep in mind

Banner images display across a range of email clients and screen sizes, so avoid designs that rely on small text or fine detail. Keep the focal point centered and give the artwork room to breathe.

Copy changes apply to the template as a whole, not to individual sends. If you want different messaging for different celebration types, let us know when you submit your request and we can configure them separately.

⚠️ Template changes are handled by the HiThrive team rather than self-serve in the admin portal. Allow a few business days for updates to go live, and let us know if you are working toward a specific launch date.
