How to send an entire channel shoutout

TL;DR:

Type the slash command /shoutout @channel in the text editor of the Slack channel that you'd like to share it in and press enter. 

What are channel shoutouts?

Channel shoutouts allow a HiThrive Admin to send a single shoutout to the entire channel making it easy to celebrate a channel (or perhaps company) accomplishment.

Who can send channel shoutouts?

Channel shoutouts are only available to HiThrive Admins. The slash command (/shoutout @channel) will not work for any other user-type. 

How do I do it?

Step 1: Type /shoutout @channel in the text editor of the Slack channel that you'd like to share the shoutout in.

Step 2: Press enter

Step 3: Compose your shoutout as normal. 

Note: Any points included within channel shoutouts will be given to each team member. For example, if you enter 100 points, each member of the channel will receive 100 points in conjunction with the shoutout.
