(For information about setting up a competition, visit the article How do I create a competition?)
So you've configured your first competition (or are thinking about it) and want to understand what communications you and your team members will receive. We've done most of the notification(s) work for you and will walk you through a step-by-step below.
Competition begins
On the Start Date of the competition, a notification will automatically post to the designated channel announcing the competition and accompanying information.
Leaderboard
At any point during the competition, team members can click on the Leaderboard to see where they stand. The slack command /leaderboard can also be used by administrators to post the leaderboard to the channel.
Admin view
Administrators can also always check-in on competition progress in the dashboard under the Awards / Competitions tab.
Competition end
At the conclusion of a competition (based on either the end date or automatically calculated based on selection of recurrence) a notification will post to the channel announcing that the competition has ended including a button to see the Results.
At the same time, the attached Award will be automatically announced within the channel with all winners tagged.
